Please call the school office to arrange a visit with our Headteacher, Mrs Lewry. We look forward to welcoming you to Speenhamland School.
At Speenhamland, we pride ourselves on being a diverse school, with children joining us from a range of cultural backgrounds. There are currently just under one third of pupils who have English as an additional language. As well as our diversity, Speenhamland is proud to be an inclusive school, welcoming not only children with special needs, but also physically disabled pupils in our Keevill unit.
We are a caring school and the pastoral support we offer both our pupils and parents is excellent. We champion our disadvantaged children to ensure we provide them with the best learning experiences and opportunities.
As well as developing the academic potential of our children, we place great emphasis on developing the ‘whole child’ through our Learning Beyond the Curriculum focus. We are a Forest School, with two trained teachers, and we offer all our children the opportunity to participate in a range of engaging outdoor activities. Our goal is to develop resilient pupils who take risks in their learning. Our on-site forest area, complete with fire pit, ensures lessons are engaging and exciting for all. We work hard to provide a range of extra-curricular opportunities which will inspire ALL our pupils to make the most of the opportunities on offer.
At Speenhamland, we have five school values that underpin everything we do:
